Farmer Gows came to visit us on a very rainy Thursday. This however did not dampen the spirits of the children who were very excited to see the animals.

SDC18541

Staff members were on hand to hold the very small birds before the children were able to hold them too. I think this one thought Emily was the mother!!

SDC18535

The children were taught to stroke them very carefully so as not to scare them or hurt them.

SDC18574

Even the very youngest children were gentle and were able to say how soft the feathers were.

SDC18549

The baby goats were very hungry and it took 2 children at a time to hold the bottles to feed them!!

SDC18557

They were so hungry and greedy the bottles emptied in a flash.

SDC18582

Jason the goat was very hungry and wanted 2 bottles!!

SDC18556

Some of the youngest children were very interested in the bottles themselves, that had to be reminded they were for the goats only.

A wonderful morning had by all in the rain.
